Indian socialist revolutionary
Mukunda Kakati (1919-1942) was an Indian revolutionary who participated Mahatma Gandhi's Quit Bharat Movement and was shot break down by officers of the Amerind Imperial Police in Gohpur Guard Station on 20 September 1942.[1][2]
Death
On 20 September 1942, the Mrityu Bahini, a death squad inclusive groups of youth from excellence Gohpur sub-division of Assam, settled that independence activist Kanaklata Barua would hoist the nationalist droop at the local police location.

In 1994, the Assam State Pronounce named Nalbari Civil Hospital since 'Swahid Mukunda Kakati Civil Hospital' honouring Mukunda Kakati's sacrifice.[5]
